Fit For A Queen: Pizza By Elizabeths
Overall Rating = 🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕 (5/5)
Do you ever wonder what kind of pizza fancy people eat? Is it bedazzled, calorie-free, and served on a golden plate? I think I found the answer when I visited Pizza By Elizabeths in Greenville, Delaware (and the answer is not any of those things).
I'm going to let the pictures do most of the talking because this visit was such a visual and mouth watering experience.
Upon entering, you know you're in for a unique experience. Trees wrapped in twinkling lights and paper mache stars hang from the branches. Small tables line the entrance and I could imagine what a fun spot this would be to hangout on a summer night, however, it was 15 degrees so we ran inside.
We started with cocktails before being seated. I opted for the Elizabeth-Tini as it's their signature drink. When the bright pink, sugar-rimmed martini glass appeared, I was head over heels. One sip and I was in love.
I started with the Cream of Tomato Soup which was decadent yet not too rich. The breadsticks were out of this world, so I had an inkling the pizza was not going to disappoint (I have a sixth sense for these things). My boyfriend ordered the Spinach Salad and raved about it as well. So far we were off to a great start.
Now, onto the pizza!
We ordered three small pizza's to share (there were three of us) and it was a little too much (I would recommend only two if you order appetizers). However, it was so much fun to try all of them! We rolled with more of a basic pizza, one of their specials, (their specials change every month) and another with more toppings.
We were thrilled with all three. The classic Boop came out on top as the winner in my book, its simplicity could not be topped and the fresh basil and crust (we ordered honey-crust - you can choose between this and whole wheat) was cooked to perfection!
This place received my highest rating because of the overall experience. From the amazing food, to the ambiance, detailed decorations and exquisite service, I was thrilled from start to finish. Seriously, I could live in this restaurant and never want to leave - but no one wants that - so I'll just make it a tradition when I'm back in Delaware!
