5 Ingredient Gluten-Free Vegan Pizza
Did you think you were seeing things when you read the title of this post? Gluten-free vegan pizza - is that a real thing? The answer is yes, and I found a recipe so good, you won’t even miss the cheese (the fake vegan cheese that is).
This simple recipe was inspired by my husband who unfortunately is avoiding gluten and dairy to help him with some digestive issues (see: Low FODMAP pizza recipe for details).
So on a night when I NEEDED some za’ (you know the feeling), I grabbed a few simple ingredients around the kitchen and TADA! The 5-ingredient gluten-free vegan pizza recipe was created!
Here’s how you make it:
Ingredients:
Gluten-Free Pizza Crust (We used Deanna’s - you can find it at Whole Foods, Jimbo’s or Sprouts)
Olive Oil
Cherry Tomatoes
Black Olives
Fresh Basil
That’s it! To keep the flavors strong, we opted to keep the ingredient list short - you could add any other veggies you prefer - but this mix is just right. If you don’t care about the vegan part, you could also add some meat like pepperoni or salami for flavor.
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 460 degrees (depends on the gluten-free crust you use, check the cooking instructions)
Drizzle olive oil on your pizza and spread on the crust
Dice cherry tomatoes in half and spread evenly on the crust
Sprinkle black olives over the crust
Place fresh basil as the last topping
Bake in oven for 8-10 minutes or until desired crispiness is achieved
Let cool 1-2 minutes
Devour!
