4-Ingredient Sweet Potato Pizza Recipe
What has 4 ingredients, takes under 20 minutes to make and melts in your mouth? This sweet potato pizza recipe!
It might sound a little odd, but if you’re looking for a healthier alternative to pizza (or something lower in carbs), this sweet potato pizza might be just what you’re looking for. (If not, you should check out my easy zucchini pizza boat recipe instead!)
Since we’ve been stranded in the house lately, I wanted to experiment with a new pizza recipe. Luckily, the last time I was at the store, I grabbed CAULIPOWER’s Sweet PotaTOASTS — which are essentially pre-sliced sweet potatoes. (CAULIPOWER also makes amazing cauliflower crust pizza). They’re perfect for making this recipe since they’re flat and easy to pile ingredients on, but you can easily buy a large sweet potato at the store and do it yourself.
Here’s what you need to make these delicious 4-ingredient sweet potato pizzas!
Makes 2 servings for very hungry humans.
Ingredients:
1-2 large sweet potatoes (I opted for 1 bag of CAULIPOWER’s Sweet PotaTOASTS)
Pizza sauce
Mozzarella cheese
Basil
That’s it! Four ingredients are all you need to make this delicious and easy recipe.
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Wash sweet potatoes thoroughly (If you’re using CAULIPOWER, all the work is done for you!)
Slice sweet potato lengthwise into slices about 1 inch thick
Place slices directly on baking sheet
Bake for 12 -15 minutes (you can flip halfway through if you’d like)
Layer pizza sauce, mozzarella and basil on top of slices
Bake for another 5-7 minutes, or until cheese is melted to your liking
Enjoy!
We paired the meal with some roasted broccoli and it was perfect!
